Self-catering holiday accommodation in Ullswater
Top and tailed by Pooley Bridge and Glenridding, the lake of Ullswater is England’s second largest lake and the setting for William Wordsworth’s “Daffodils” poem. The water is home to the Ullswater Steamers offering boat trips, while kayaking, fishing and other activities are also available for holidaymakers and locals alike.
The National Trust Aira Force, a 65-foot waterfall, runs into Ullswater and is a 20-minute stunning woodland walk away from the lakeside, offering both stunning views of the fall and lake and a nature trail filled with Himalayan firs, red squirrels and plenty of woodland glades.
A stay in one of our Ullswater cottages is a perfect base for exploring the villages and towns nearby and making the most of the North Lakes area.
