At the northern end of Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is perfect for exploring the North Lakes and Eden Valley. Boat trips can be taken on Ullswater from Pooley Bridge so if you’re looking to spend some time on the water this is a great place to do so in the Lake District. Although a small village Pooley Bridge has plenty to keep you entertained, and nearby you can get to many attractions such as Lowther Castle and Gardens and the Rheged Centre.

As one of the most northerly villages in the Lake District you have easy access to the main road around the National Park so driving to and from the village is easier than some more remote locations.
