Satisfy your thirst for adventure amongst the spectacular Cumbrian countryside, choosing this attractive lodge as the base for your adventures. Set just 8 miles from historic Penrith with its castle ruins and an array of shops and eateries, your accommodation sleeps four and is ideally placed for exploring. Whether you are strolling around the shores of stunning Ullswater or taking to the water by boat, you’ll relish the prospect of returning to soak in your private hot tub with a glass of wine.

Bright, spacious and homely, the interior of the lodge is tailored to relaxing in style and features cosy details such as a flame-effect electric fire and a welcome pack provided by the owners. Rustle up tantalising treats in the kitchen and gather around the table for special dinners, retiring to the sofas for a nightcap and an exciting film. Your sleeping quarters are comfortable and inviting, consisting of a pleasant king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a pretty twin. There is also a separate shower room - a welcome treat after a busy day. Wake up to fresh coffee on the decked area outside, and perhaps a late morning dip in your hot tub.

You don’t have to stray far to discover the beauty of your surroundings; there are multiple trails leading from your doorstep. The Lake District National Park is a varied landscape of rugged hills, tranquil lakes and chocolate-box villages, and a good starting point is the picturesque Pooley Bridge 13.5 miles away. For those who prefer to unwind over a game of golf, you’ll have two popular courses to choose from within 9 miles, whilst the keen fisherman can try to catch trout, perch and pike on Ullswater 16 miles away.

Lovely lodge in a fantastic location. Perfect for what we needed. Ideal if you are taking a dog as the patio is completely closed off and secure. Lovely local pub too!
