Cartmel is home to a medieval priory and a range of welcoming restaurants, pubs, cafes and independent shops. Local attractions include Holker Hall and Gardens (3.5 miles), Sizergh Castle (10 miles), Fell Foot Park (8 miles) and Levens Hall (11.5 miles). The cottage also makes a fabulous base for exploring the spectacular lakes, with Windermere (8.5 miles), Esthwaite Water (13 miles) and Coniston Water (17 miles) all within easy reach.
