Escape to this delightful Lake District holiday home and enjoy being just 1 mile from magnificent Lake Windermere. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom abode is set in the village of Windermere and is perfectly located for long walks along its shores and up in the fells of the south-eastern swathes of the national park.

Let yourselves into this exquisite property to find it has been beautifully renovated yet still presents many 18th-century features. Stoke up the wood burner in the lounge, switch on the TV and simply relax. When it is time to start preparing the next meal, wander into the kitchen/diner, with its inglenook fireplace and stone floor. Find you have all the equipment you need to assist you in creating a delicious spread then serve up at the table. Also at ground-floor level, are a WC and boot room. The gorgeous family bathroom, with freestanding bath, and bedrooms are on the floor above, where there is some restricted head height here due to the beautiful beams. Lay your head in one of the two king-size bedrooms or the twin, which can be arranged as a super-king-size if discussed in advance. A Jack and Jill shower room adjoins one king-size room and the twin. Make the most of the superb outside space at this cottage, dining out in the sunshine and taking in the views. Discover you have an outdoor utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus space for cycles. Find parking for three cars within an area accessed via a narrow gate.

Wander down to the shores of the lake or potter in the shops and discover the eateries of Windermere. Book a cruse out on the lake to see the spectacular scenery from the water or hire your own launch to explore at your leisure.

Beautiful cottage. it was ideal for our adult family holiday and really spacious. We sat outside in the morning on the patio to eat breakfast in the sunshine. The cottage has been tastefully renovated and is really well equipped. Reliable Wi-Fi and Sky TV kept the younger adults happy. The kitchen has all you would need to prepare food for the famiRead morely for the week and the cottage is walking distance from the town centre if you want to eat out. Amazing holiday we didn't want to come home. Hide

Fantastic cottage, in a great location. Was very hard to find in the dark... make sure you read the owner's instructions thoroughly! Property was very warm (we went Dec/Jan so can definitely say the heating worked!), and plenty of space. Kitchen in particular was gorgeous, loads of room and very high-spec. The bedrooms were lovely. The owners have Read moreclearly spent a fortune bringing this charming group of cottages up to a really high-spec standard. Would definitely recommend. Hide

Absolutely loved the cottage and the location. It was perfect for two families (4 ad & 2 ch). The kitchen was the heart of the house with plenty of space. The ASHP works incredibly well so the house was just the right temperature and the bathrooms are lovely.

Beautifully renovated cottage in a convenient, but peaceful location on edge of Windermere. We really loved it here and had a fantastic holiday. (The footpath behind the property is well used but not generally intrusive). The entrance boot room is large and a great place for all the coats and boots needed for winter walks. Very comfortable house anRead mored would love to return. We brought extra throws and blankets and needed these in winter. Providing towels would have been so helpful! Hide
