Nearby, Castle Carrock Reservoir (0.5 miles) offers peaceful waterside strolls, while the pretty village of Castle Carrock (1.5 miles) has a welcoming pub so you can absorb the local atmosphere. Talkin Tarn (2 miles) is ideal for gentle lakeside walks and water sports. Brampton (4 miles) has independent shops and cafes. For adventures further afield, plan day hikes and boat trips in the Lake District National Park (27 miles).
