This property enjoys a tranquil location just across the water from the pretty village of Coniston on Coniston Water. It is just as suited for those who want to relax and unwind as it is for those who want to get out and enjoy the huge choice of outdoor pursuits that are on offer to visitors. There are some fantastic mountain walks to be had nearby, most notably on the trails which lead to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, with several routes available to suit different levels of fitness, but all of which end with stunning views across the lake and beyond. The village of Coniston in just 1.5 miles around the lake from the cottage and can be reached via a reasonably flat walk, or by car if preferred. In the village, as well as an array of shops, visitors will find a choice of pubs and a popular boating centre from where they can participate in a good range of watersports or a hire a boat for the day.

The heart of this stunning cottage is the open-plan living space comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. This stylish room has been finished in a contemporary fashion and offers a comfortable lounge area with a large Chesterfield sofa, a warming wood burner, and a Smart TV/DVD, as well as a DAB radio and Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen area is separated from the lounge by a glossy breakfast bar with stool-seating, beyond which guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, as well as a host of extras including a slow cooker and a panini griddle. The dual-aspect bedroom is a pretty, light-filled room with a king-size bed and dressing table, next-door to which there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Opening the French windows from the main living area, guests step out onto a shingled-seating area where they will not only find garden furniture , but also the sumptuous hot tub from where they can enjoy the picturesque views, or perhaps look up at the night sky. Beyond this area there is a generously-sized lawn, whilst, to the front of the cottage there is off-road parking for two cars.

Excellent cottage, very good furnishings and overall a really comfortable stay. It was great to be out walking and be able to come back and relax in the hot tub. The location is good and walkable to Coniston. I would definitely book this place again. Perfect for a little get away for just the 2 of us!

First time staying in this cottage, it is in a very quiet location but only a short walk to Coniston. Location is great if you want peace and quiet and not commercialised. You can walk from the door to many places around Coniston. Not far to drive elsewhere so a good location as a base also. Hot tub clean and works well nice with views and in the dRead moreark. Beautiful location and lovely accommodation. Stunning views and the hot tub (which I had no plans of using) was fantastic after a long day walking. Great pubs near by and plenty of amenities.

Lovely little cottage just outside Coniston, ideally located for exploring the lake district area. Bonus hot tub for after a chilly dip or relax after a hike. Will be coming back.

We booked our break at short notice and Somewhere was definitely the best available cottage. While it's location was superb we were disappointed that the quality of the furnishings didn't quite live up to expectations.

Cottage was very comfortable. Hot tub was fantastic, with nice views. There was a neighbouring holiday home, so with fine weather people sit very close to the house, but it was no problem. It was very quiet. Walking distance to the lake for a wonderful swim.

Great cottage great week second time around staying here great location also. 60 miles hiked all week in the rain and shine loved every minute of it.The cottage could probably do with a new rug and couch and some lights outside were not working.We re mopped the floors when we got there just to freshen it up as it had been empty for a week.The priceRead more does probably need reducing half term jumps up dramatically and its an adult cottage also a discount for returning guests would be a incentive too Hide

Fell in love with with this little gem but needs some TLC, had an amazing week and hot tub was nice and relaxing after our long walks. Would I book again? Absolutely. Coniston is a beautiful place with some lovely pubs, nice food and youre surrounded by mountains, whats not to love. Book and enjoy xx

A beautifully appointed cottage, well equipped and we enjoyed the hot tub after our mountain runs. Its close to Coniston, close enough to walk. Only downside is we missed out on the beautiful views of Coniston water and it didnt feel entirely private.

Cottage is over-priced for what is provided. Photo of house is deceptive as it does not show an over-sized conifer which blocks most of the view of the mountains. There are only 4 books (one is a cook book), no activities/games and no local information. There is a general lack of storage space in the bedroom. Somewhere cottage was the perfect little escape for my boyfriend and I to spend the bank holiday weekend in the lakes. The property was super easy to locate and is correctly mapped on gmaps with easy access instructions from the owner. Once we arrived, the cottage was spotless with a very cute welcome gift. A fabulous cottage in a great location. A relatively easy walk to the village. Surroundings meant cottage was extremely quiet & peaceful. There wasn't loads of clothes storage. Might benefit from a set of drawers fitted in the wardrobe cupboard. The shower pressure was a little low so no power shower feeling in the mornings. These points didn't spoil our holiday. The hot tub was great, when it wasn't raining!! I thought the booking fee of 58 was excessive. Lovely quiet location with views of the old man of coniston. Hottub is a nice addition. We found the bed to be very comfortable and the kitchen dinner is a relaxing area. Personally we found the bedroom. Lacking in storage, needs more drawers and make sure you bring your own clothes hangers as the wardrobe only has 7. We also felt the sofa was uncoRead moremfortable.
