A lovely quiet location on a well managed site. It is several miles to any shop for provisions so grocery shop needs planning, however the various supermarkets do their "on line order & delivery" service. The hot tub was a great thing to have after a day's walking and is under cover to combat the infamous lakeland weather.

The bed was really comfortable and linen & towels were clean. Good location to Ambleside, Kendal etc. Coop in Coniston, lovely village. Quiet location and staff were lovely. Complimentary bottle of bucks fizz and a few chocs as it was Xmas week. Hottub was private in Scafell Lodge, would recommend & would stay again.

Great location for the southern fells and lovely lodge, quiet and peaceful and the hot tub was great after the long walks in the mountains. The bed was comfortable and a good shower. My Husband and I loved our stay at Scafell lodge, it was clean , comfortable and well equipped. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we loved the hot tub - it felt decadent on a rainy November night! The treat hut was also just outside the lodge, which has done my waistline no favours

The advertising photo created high expectations. The gate is stuck, on one occasion I left the gate partly open and my wife was unable to open the caravan door, she had to shout for help. The sofa and the bed was uncomfortable. The TV system kept freezing and there were no heating instructions. We expected a higher standard of accommodation with doRead moreg walking very close by, that was not the case. Overall, not a great stay, the terrible weather added to our woes, so we left early and returned home. Hide

Loved our stay. Lovely cottage in a great location, 10 minute drive from Coniston Village. 2 minute walk to lake made for lots of swimming! The lodge was perfectly placed to use Coniston lake for swimming and paddle boarding - we would drive down to the little car park by the lake as the lodge is up a fairly steep driveway but if you dont have equipment to carry youd walk it easily. The hot tub was brilliant at the end of each day and perfectly placed in a private spot just outside youRead morer door. The site was very quiet and relaxing - would definitely return! Hide

Had an amazing time. Couldn't fault the lodge at all, had everything we needed and the Hot Tub was a lovely added luxury. Perfectly clean, hosts were super helpful. Altho in the middle of nowhere, you are unable to walk to a pub or restaurant in less than 1 hour, but no reflection on the hosts or the lodge. Amazing time away. Emma

We felt the space was too small, needed upgraded internally and was overpriced. The hot tub, however, was fabulous and very private which we loved. We had pretty much all we needed but had to ask for more towels which were readily supplied. The location was very peaceful and close to Coniston water and Beacon Tarn which we loved.
