A delightful, peaceful holiday home, this Lakeland retreat is surrounded by the undulating, green Cumbrian landscape. Situated in Outgate, 1 mile from Hawkshead and 4 miles from Ambleside, the two-bedroom cottage sleeps four guests and is in a perfect rural spot for those eager to explore on foot from the doorstep. Climb 3 miles to picturesque Latterbarrow, with its panoramic views, or walk 2.5 miles to Wray Castle on the shores of beautiful Windermere. Here you can pick up a footpath heading along the western side of the lake. The National Trust's Tarn Hows, 3 miles away, is also a spectacular beauty spot. Venture into Ambleside to stock up on produce, dine out and meander through the shops. Stroll less than 1 mile from here to Waterhead to take a lake cruise. Head 3.5 miles to see the farmhouse where children's author Beatrix Potter penned many of her charming works.
Pull yourself away from the incredible scenery and take four steps up to the patio and front door. Make your way into the kitchen/diner to cook and dine as you gaze out over the enchanting countryside from the table. While away pleasant evenings together through in the lounge, where you can sink back into the deep sofas and admire the scenery through the picture windows. Find your favourite show on the Smart TV, chat and play games in here too. The family bathroom, where you can soak in a hot bubble bath or enjoy a refreshing shower, is also downstairs. Venture up to the first floor of the cottage to indulge in a superb night's sleep in one of the two sumptuous double bedrooms, each with ample storage. One of these has the luxury of an en-suite bathroom, and the other features an en-suite shower room.
Sip a cold drink or cocktail out on the patio on summer evenings. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner outside too as often as the weather permits. There is private, off-road parking here for two cars.
