An outstanding larger Ambleside holiday home, this stone cottage is perfect for that special group getaway. Sleeping seven guests, the four-bedroom retreat offers well-presented accommodation across three storeys. Stroll just 150 metres to find yourselves among interesting shops and a spectrum of eateries. Ponder in galleries and browse in boutiques before pausing in a bar or coffee shop. Walk less than 1 mile to find yourselves on the shores of magnificent Windermere. Take a lake cruise from Waterhead to get a unique perspective on your incredible surroundings. Amble 1.5 miles down to the National Trust's Stagshaw Gardens, where you can follow rambling paths and admire colourful displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias in season. Lace up your boots and stride straight out on exhilarating hikes. Impressive Wansfell Pike is just 1.5 miles from the cottage, and the waterfall at Stock Ghyll Force is a distance of less than 1 mile.

Return from exploring the Lake District to enter the attractive house via the front door and hallway. The welcoming lounge, where you can recline on the plush sofa, is a cosy space. Stoke up the wood burner in here after autumnal walks. Surf the channels on the Smart TV to find something that everyone will enjoy watching. The modern kitchen/diner is a bright space that has been designed to ensure you have everything you need for home cooking right at your fingertips. Prepare meals and dine in here on those occasions you choose not to reserve a table in an Ambleside eatery. From the kitchen, there is access to the utility room for your holiday laundry needs. When you are ready to retire for the night, make your way upstairs to the top two floors of the cottage. Three of your bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single, are on the first floor, together with a family shower room. A lovely king-size bedroom with a generous en-suite bathroom is on the floor above.

Spill out into the sunny courtyard garden on fine days. Bring your own BBQ and grill delicious Cumbrian produce in the fresh air before sitting down to eat at the outdoor table and chairs. Secure bike storage is available and guests will be given a permit to park one car at a nearby car park.

Wonderful house, warm & welcoming with everything we needed. Second visit to Ambleside & to this property as we knew it ticked all our boxes & more. Well equipped house with the courtyard to lock our bikes up safely. There are 6 of us & a dog, this house is perfect & we will return as still so much to explore.
