Bowness and the neighbouring village of Windermere have a wealth of friendly restaurants, traditional pubs and independent shops, with places of interest including The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, the Windermere Jetty Museum and Blackwell – the Arts and Crafts House. Coniston Water, Grasmere, Esthwaite Water and Rydal Water are all within 10 miles, and the property is ideally positioned for visiting attractions and landmarks such as Sizergh, the Lakeland Motor Museum, Holehird Gardens and Wray Castle, all within 14 miles.

Entering this charming ground-floor retreat, leads through to the bright and spacious studio-style open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom which has been elegantly updated and tastefully decorated in cool, refreshing shades. A couple of steps lead down into this fresh, airy and light-filled space which is an ideal spot for you both to unwind in after a fantastic day discovering the glorious surroundings of Windermere. In one corner you will find the chic dining table, comfortable seating and TV, alongside a thoughtfully arranged and beautifully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing romantic meals for two. We really enjoyed staying here, beautiful accommodation set in lovely relaxed surroundings, we loved our gift (the book) kind gesture, the decor and finish of this cottage is so good, so quite, clean and relaxing, we were very grateful to see the newyear in at the heaning estate, we will definitely be returning in the summer time.

It was a well stocked kitchen, very clean and comfortable. It was useful having the parking permit which we used in other locations.

Lovely bright, clean, modern accommodation. Very well appointed with everything you need for a enjoyable and comfortable stay. Close to all the amenities but hidden out of sight! Added bonus is the parking permit which you are able to use in many of the other towns/villages in the vicinity. Would recommend.
