Situated in a private cul-de-sac in a charming residential spot, this tastefully furnished and beautifully updated reverse-level property makes a fantastic base for eager walkers, hikers and nature spotters discovering the tranquil heart of the Lake District. The property is ideally positioned for exploring the bustling towns of Windermere and Bowness, each offering a range of great pubs and restaurants, with attractions and landmarks including Queen Adelaide's Hill, Windermere Jetty Museum, the Orrest Head Viewpoint, Fallbarrow Hall and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, all within a couple of miles. From Bowness you can join a steamship cruising along Windermere to Ambleside in the north and Lakeside in the south. This stunning part of the Lake District is also home to Coniston Water, Tarn Hows, Latterbarrow, Brockhole on Windermere, Skelwith Force and Grasmere, all within 14 miles.

The property enjoys a slightly elevated position above the road, with commanding views of the surrounding fells. A few steps lead up to the door, and then inside a welcoming hallway has plenty of room for storing walking equipment. Stairs lead up and directly into the cosy and inviting first-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which wraps around the central staircase and benefits from light streaming in through the skylights set in the low sloping ceilings. The cheery lounge is an ideal space to unwind in, with a TV, Blu-ray player, sumptuous seating and a Juliet balcony looking out towards Windermere. The dining area is to one side, perfect for enjoying a family together which you can prepare in the sleek, stylishly organised and fully equipped kitchen. An additional snug is on the first floor with a TV and games console, making a handy space for younger guests. Returning to the ground floor you will have a choice of two delightful bedrooms, each with a TV: a light and cheerful king-size room with a useful en-suite shower room, and a lovely super-king-size room which can be made up as a twin if requested when booking.

Heading outside, a private and sheltered patio area has ample garden furniture offering a peaceful spot for dining alfresco on a sunny afternoon. Private off-road parking is available for two cars.

Excellent property and value for money. Literally a home from home.

The house was beautiful, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The lounge area was lovely to relax in and the view from there was great. Parking no problem.
