This stunning property in the South Lake District is a beautiful and characterful retreat, where guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside from every angle. Located in a serene and picturesque area of the Cumbrian countryside. The property is surrounded by unspoiled views and ample opportunities for peaceful walks or bike rides in the Lake District National Park. Nearby, visitors can access the Coniston Fells, or board the Steam Yacht Gondola over Coniston Water (7.5 miles) is a great trip out. The nearest town of Broughton-in-Furness (2.5 miles) is a delightful village with local butchers, shops and multiple pubs. To the north, there is ample adventure – enjoy a thrilling drive over the challenging Hardknott Pass (10.5 miles), the steepest road in England, before descending into the postcard village of Eskdale (11.5 miles) where you can enjoy a day out on the La’al Ratty.

Upon entering through the brightly lit porch, you are welcomed into the spacious hallway. To the left, the grand lounge greets you with the large and sumptuous L-shaped sofa. Enjoy evenings by the roaring fireplace in the armchairs or watch your favourite films on the Smart TV. Next door, the delightfully stylish kitchen has everything you need for cooking dinner for the whole family. The small reading nook offers far-reaching views of the tree-lined fells and a great space to sit and relax. Next, you’ll head into the spacious dining room, with ample seating and a second wood burner so you will really feel like the lord and lady of the manor whilst enjoying your evening meals. Upstairs, the hallway leads you to the first of the three bedrooms, an inviting and characterful bedroom with a king-size sleigh bed. Across the hall, the second bedroom boasts a stately king-size bed made of brass. This lovely room also offers an en-suite bathroom where you can soak up the bubbles before getting your head down for the evening. The third bedroom is exceptionally charming, with a curtained four-poster king-size bed and a smaller single bed for flexible sleeping. The family bathroom further along the hall offers a walk-in shower and an elegant bath.

To complete the property, the outside space is landscaped – with both lawn and patio, this is a great space for those warmer evenings to dine alfresco or enjoy a good book while soaking up the sun.

Lovely spacious cottage and a fantastic location within the beautiful Lickle valley. Very friendly farmer over the road and walks on your doorstep. Well equipped and comfortable- more room than you would think based on the photos and description. Heating and hot water from a heat pump is very environmentally friendly and the way forward but doesRead more limit hot water generating capacity. In very cold weather the open fire is required but make sure the promised starter pack of logs is supplied. Hide

This house could be so beautiful but apart from the kitchen and bathrooms, an air of neglect is prevalent. Beautiful setting but house disappointing.

Gorgeous setting! The view from the back of the house was mesmerising- with the fire pit lit and the babbling brook it provided a go to place for inner peace and calmness. A great place for a family bbq, few drinks and lots of chatter. Beds were very comfy, good quality appliances and we made use of the small snooker table - does need some levellinRead moreg though. Lots of games we were glad of on a rainy day. Only downside we couldnt get in the near by pub for food as it was booked. Nice neighbours Hide

A spacious comfortable house with good facilities. A quiet bucolic setting with a great space for the dog to have a run around. Fantastic base from which to explore the area.
