Embraced by the tranquil meeting of two rivers, St Johns Beck and the Glenderamackin, this family-run working farm offers an unparalleled escape, making this retreat the perfect romantic getaway. Take a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the historic Threlkeld to Keswick railway line, just a hundred meters from your doorstep. Dip your toes into the river’s crystalline waters, a perfect setting for a paddle by foot or canoe. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside, watch lambs play in Spring. Just over a mile away lies the quaint village of Threlkeld, boasting country pubs, a cricket pavilion, and a scenic golf course. The vibrant town of Keswick has an array of independent shops, restaurants, cafes, and holds an annual Mountain Festival. Majestic Derwentwater awaits, offering water sports and boat trips. And for a taste of local flavour, indulge in a tour of nearby distilleries, rounding up your break with a sip of the region's finest spirits.

Discover the epitome of romance at this Grade II-listed barn, formally used for storing barley crops with the original threshing wheel still hanging in the eaves, with breathtaking views of St John in the Vale that greet you upon arrival. The Barn, meticulously transformed from its agricultural past into a haven of contemporary elegance, basks in light when the sun rises, and is a radiant tribute to its storied past. Behold the majestic threshing wheel suspended high above the impressive entrance, a nod to its former life amid the barley fields. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner area offers a warm embrace, it is the perfect spot to relax after a day out exploring the imposing Blencathra to the north and Helvellyn to the south. The underfloor heating and suspended wood burner are the perfect features to stay cozy and cuddle up on a cold evening. The seamlessly styled kitchen, adorned with top of the range appliances as well as a hot tap, invites you to indulge in culinary delights. Enjoy a romantic meal on the bespoke dining table which was made by the owner’s sons using a felled sycamore tree ensuring that the history of this place continues. Ascend the floating staircase that greets you at the entrance up to the mezzanine level to find sanctuary in a sumptuous king-size bed, enveloped in crisp bedding. Refresh your senses in the pristine marble wet room, where invigorating scents of grapefruit and lemongrass or geranium and ylang-ylang await, beckoning you to unwind beneath the cascading waterfall shower.

Outside, a babbling stream serenades you, accompanied by the gentle presence of grazing sheep and cows. Immerse yourself in pure bliss within the cedar wood hot tub, where the aromatic embrace of cedarwood soothes the soul and illuminates the night sky, offering a celestial panorama of High Rigg's rugged silhouette and the tranquil embrace of St John's in The Vale. Experience a holiday like no other, where each moment is an exquisite symphony of serenity and relaxation.
