Handy little cottage in the heart of Bowness. Perfectly situated for lots of the Lake District. Great to have an enclosed outside area for our dog and can imagine it being a sun trap in the summer. Lots of good walks right from the doorstep too.

Little Close was a great base for exploring the Lake District. It suited our family of five really well. It was very well equipped and really easy to get to Bowness or Windermere for places to eat shops etc We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

The house is lovely and had everything we needed . There are steps into the Kitchen if you come in from garden patio area which can be awkward for young children. Side entrance has no steps . It asks not to let dogs upstairs ( we didnt bring our dog ) . It would be handy to have a stairgate across stairs or front room door space as no door on frontRead more room area and stairs is just off this area, we spent a lot of time stopping toddlers climbing stairs . Showers are hot , en-suite has shower , other bathroom has shower over bath . Beds were comfy , our guest in single bed said bed was hard but everyone gets used to their own bed I suppose . We had a lovely stay , did lots of walks , took boat out on lake , ate in lovely restaurants / pubs . Was a 5 minute walk down a hill to town , 20-25 minute walk to Windermere town . Buses run regularly and we saw Ubers about . Hide

One of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Immaculately clean, warm, comfortable and in a great location for pubs, restaurants etc. The furnishings, bedding etc were all of really good quality. Lovely little cottage, very well presented, clean and warm. Kitchen well equipped with everything necessary and lots of cutlery and crockery. Comfy lounge with plenty of space to spread out and watch a good film after being out and about all day. Beds all very comfortable and everyone slept well. Nice big bath, which we didn't use, and two showers,Read more which were easy to use and had good pressure - watch though as water runs very hot. Around 5mins walk to main street leading to lots of different shops and restaurants and about 10mins to the lake. Have not been to this part of the UK for many years and very much enjoyed our short break to The Lakes. Hide

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the cottage. Very cosy and welcoming, the wood burner was a real plus during the colder nights. Great bonus of dedicated parking, while the property is minutes walk of Bowness, which was brilliant for us as we normally stay in more rural properties.
