There are picturesque walks from the door - including the recently completed West Windermere Way which conveniently finishes at a luxury hotel, with restaurant & spa (1 mile). A short walk will bring you to Lakeside (0.3miles) where you will find Windermere Lake Cruises - take a spectacular sail up to Bowness or Ambleside with their many attractions or across the Lake to Fellfoot for playgrounds & picnics. Lakeside is also the home of The Aquarium of the Lakes with its captivating marine life and otters. You can also hop on board the Furness Steam Railway or take Afternoon Tea in the elegant gardens of The Lakeside Hotel with stunning views across the Lake. History lovers will enjoy the numerous local heritage properties in the area, including Beatrix Potter’s home at Far Sawrey only 6 miles or Wordsworth’s School in Hawkshead where you can see his graffiti! (8 miles).
