This charming cottage is located in the tranquil village of Westnewton, offering guests a peaceful and restful stay. This location offers the perfect base to enjoy the best of both worlds; a coastal holiday, and only a short drive from the Northern Lake District (9 miles). The unspoilt Solway Firth is just 3 miles away, an area of outstanding natural beauty that is home to many species of wading birds, making this area a popular destination for bird watchers. The historic town of Cockermouth is only 10 miles, check out Wordsworth House and Garden, the childhood home of poet William Wordsworth. The popular market town of Keswick is also only 22 miles, stroll along the Derwentwater lake shore where you can hire a boat or take a cruise to enjoying the stunning scenery before stopping for some lunch in one of the many independent cafes and pubs.

The owner, Susan, was fantastic and nothing was too much. The cottage was just what we needed in a beautiful quiet location. Great for our little dog as the garden was large and secure. Would definitely recommend and would go again.

Ideal for a couple with a dog having an enclosed back garden, with easy access from kitchen. The cottage is all on ground level with a modern fully equipped kitchen, which looked almost new. The bathroom was modern with a wet room style shower, with screen. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, as dog owners it was ideal as access to the back gRead morearden was via bi fold doors from the kitchen into the back garden. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the accommodation. Hide
