Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, or exploring the magnificent fells. Latrigg is less than 2 miles away, and Cat Bells and Skiddaw are within 5 miles. Keswick hosts the annual mountain festival, held over three days with world-class sports, lots of outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music events which take place beside the lake. Head to Whinlatter Forest and follow the Gruffalo Trail or, if you enjoy mountain biking, there are some great tracks to explore here.
