Despite its regal manor house exterior, this property has been lovingly updated to a completely contemporary style with plenty of mod cons. Brightly painted walls add a sense of charm and excitement to the property, whilst the Lake District OS map feature wall in the hallway is a totally unique touch. Enjoy sociable evenings in the open-plan living space where kitchen, lounge and diner come together, always finding plenty of entertainment on the Smart TV. Or, venture outside into the acres of surrounding shared land to make the most of bright weather. Visitors of all ages will adore a trip to the private shore, finding complimentary rowing boats for a trip out onto the water.

Once you’ve explored the shared gardens and Esthwaite Water, venture a little further and lose yourself in the glorious Lake District region. You’ll find the famous Lake Windermere just 3 miles away, perfect for taking the ferry over to Bowness-on-Windermere (4.5 miles) for the afternoon. Or, enjoy a trip down memory lane with a trip to Hawkshead’s Beatrix Potter Museum (1.5 miles) and a trip to a local pub or tearoom. Further afield, The Old Man of Coniston (8 miles) offers an ever-rewarding mountain hike with spectacular views.

This was my second stay at Broomriggs 5 and I hope to come back again. The apartment is well-equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The views from the lounge area and main bedroom are unforgettable! Welcoming touches like board games, books & sweet treats from the host are much appreciated. We absolutely loved our holiday at broomriggs, the apartment was perfect for our needs and it was so nice to be welcomed by a lovely tray of local goods, the house itself is in the most stunning grounds. We were able to enjoy a first birthday picnic party on the grounds for our little boy and he loved the swings. The caretaker was very helpful and Read morefriendly. We had the most wonderful stay. 10/10 all round. The most magical surroundings with a hidden waterfall and stunning view of the lake. We walked up to the Tarn for a early morning swim which was perfect. Ideal location to explore the lakes and everything Beatrix Potter! Friendly welcome and top tips! We will most definitely be back again and again.

Broomriggs 5 is a lovely space. It is well equipped with a lovely view. Alec the property manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We had a great time and hope to return at some stage.

Lovely, well appointed apartment, with stunning views. Extremely well equipped, and very comfortable. Some lovely walks directly from the property, and really well positioned to explore the Lake distict.

Broomriggs 5 is an attractive and very well equipped apartment with fantastic views across Esthwaite Water. Plenty of kitchen items, games and local information, including maps and walks. We had a lovely, relaxing time and would not hesitate to book again. Alec, the caretaker, was very friendly and had loads of local info.
