Kendal is easily reached within 5 miles, offering handy transport links to a plethora of lakeside attractions and scenic walks.

Bursting with period features dating back to the 17th century and finished with a distinctive contemporary flair, this beautiful farmhouse is a sheer delight for any staycation. Kick off your walking boots and gather in the spacious lounge for tea and coffee by the wood burner, enjoying the farmhouse vibe of the spacious room. The classic yet chic kitchen beckons from the open archway, inviting culinary geniuses to whip up tantalising meals to savour around the table. The washing facilities are a sheer delight, with a choice between a fantastic ground-floor shower room and a generous first-floor bathroom. Three gorgeous king-size bedrooms are also tucked on the first floor, along with a secret hidden bedroom with a built-in bunk bed. Outside, the vast garden is perfectly suited for al fresco dining with a view, and you can pick up fresh eggs for breakfast from next door.

A Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Really calming to hear the stream close by. Be aware of the narrow 2 and half mile or so drive to the house however this is to be expected in the Lake District. The house is well equipped with kitchen utensils, appliances including washing machine and drier. Plenty of board games to keep the children entertainRead moreed. Ample parking available, we had 3 cars parked on the drive at one time. Hide
