There is nothing wrong with the cottage, but the week we stayed, had to put up with builders working on the cottage a few doors down, using the garden as a walk through for access, and radio on all day

A lovely small cottage situated in a very quiet spot, with a local pub 2 min walk away and a farm nearby selling eggs and fresh milk. Woodland walks can be reached on foot within 10 min. After a busy time in The Lakes, this was a welcome retreat. It is a short drive to Windemere Lake and Coniston Water. The cottage was well stocked with tea, coffeeRead more, sugar and milk when we arrived. The garden wasn't totally secure, but a nice sunny spot for an afternoon tea or evening drink. Hide

A lovely little cottage for the two of us plus the dog. Great views and the pub down the road had some great food. A great base for exploring the Lake District. Just be mindful there are no shop in the village itself so ensure you bring your essentials until to venture out and about.

Really lovely cottage in a handy location. We found lovely walks local to the village as well as travelling further into the lakes. Garden was secure which which enabled the dog to enjoy time outdoors without us worrying he'd escaped. One small issue with a leak but was rectified quickly and professionally
