Cosy, rustic and equipped with an array of luxurious extra touches, this chocolate-box cottage sleeps two amongst the romantic wilderness of the Lake District National Park. Escape blustery winter afternoons and snuggle up by the fire, and on summer mornings you’ll be able to unwind in the garden with your morning coffee and a spectacular view. Fill your days with exciting adventures, delicious meals and waterside strolls and by night, stargaze in the clear sky with a glass of wine in hand.
Step back in time from the moment you enter, appreciating the old-world charm of the whitewashed stone walls, timber beams and classic decor. A comfy lounge beckons weary explorers, inviting you to kick off your boots and settle down in front of the wood burner. Savour simple suppers for two at the bijou dining table, prepared with the finest local ingredients in your compact yet expertly equipped galley-style kitchen. Indulge in a spot of pampering in the spa bath in the downstairs bathroom, then climb the stairs to find the separate WC and sumptuous king-size bedroom with its crisp bedding and adjoining dressing room. Outside, the large lawned garden is a treat on balmy summer afternoons, bicycle storage and external utility room. There is parking for one car, but please note – access to the neighbouring cottage is across the front of the property.
Tucked on the outskirts of the village of Bouth, the cottage is handily located for exploring Lake Windermere and its surrounding towns and villages. Hop on board a boat from Lakeside Pier, 5 miles away, to admire the mountain backdrop and serene water from a different perspective, disembarking at Bowness-on-Windermere or Ambleside for some retail therapy and a hearty lunch.
