This delightful ground-floor apartment is part of a small and friendly complex of properties situated around a bright and relaxing shared courtyard with a feature fountain at its centre. Part of an imaginatively converted old mill, the apartment makes a lovely retreat for a couple or a small family looking for a charming getaway just outside the picturesque and bustling village of Cartmel. Providing ample comfortable accommodation for four guests, this cosy apartment is perfect for exploring the southern parts of the Lake District.

Accessed via a shared hall, the apartment features a light and cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes an ideal living area. The bright and inviting lounge is a perfect space for relaxation, and you can prepare your favourite meals in the attractive kitchen. The dining area is perfect for a quiet family meal. The property also features two light and refreshing bedrooms: a double and a twin, as well as a shower room. The shared garden and courtyard provide plenty of space to sit back with a glass of wine or a BBQ and watch the comings and goings of the local wildlife at the nearby duck pond.

The property is part of the Aynsome Manor Park complex a mile to the north of Cartmel. One of Cumbria’s loveliest villages, Cartmel has several friendly pubs, welcoming restaurants and independent shops selling antiques, second-hand books, gourmet cheeses and the village’s own sticky toffee pudding. Cartmel is home to a medieval priory and a National Hunt racecourse. Attractions include Holker Hall and Gardens (3 miles), Sizergh Castle (10.5 miles) and Eggerslack Wood (4 miles). To the north are some of the area’s magnificent lakes: Windermere (6 miles), Coniston Water (15 miles) and Esthwaite Water (11.5 miles), alongside the beautiful woodlands of Fell Foot (6 miles) and Grizedale (15.5 miles).

We had a lovely stay at Willow View Apartment. It is very clean,comfortable,well furnished and has everything you need. The Apartment is about 1 mile from Cartmel and is set in very attractive grounds.I could definitely recommend this property for a stay in Cartmel
