Self-catering holiday accommodation in the North Lakes

The North Lakes area of the Lake District offers some of the best views in the country. Buttermere offers peaceful low-lying walking, Derwentwater has some of the most striking landscapes around and Bassenthwaite is a wildlife lover’s dream. There’s also Ullswater, with the tumbling waterfall of Aira Force, and the smaller yet just as beautiful Loweswater. Some of the country’s highest peaks can also be found here, including Skiddaw and Helvellyn – the views from the top are just spectacular and you definitely will have earnt them!

The North Lakes area also has some amazing towns and villages to offer its visitors. Cockermouth, Keswick and Braithwaite all make wonderful bases from which to explore the wider region. There are also some lovely villages which sit directly next to a lake, including Glenridding and Pooley Bridge.
