Tom Crag Barn Guest Reviews

So lovely to spend time with you both in your beautiful home. Thanks for everything, especially the drive and the lovely walk finding mushrooms!

Lovely barn, enjoyed the garden and conservatory especially. Comfy bed. Attractive countryside and friendly noisy lambs next door!

A week of glorius weather and great walks each day. We were very comfortable in this house and could sit in the garden every evening. The walk from here to High Dam is well worth the effort!

Enjoyed our stay here, plenty of room for 4 people. Did several walks despite the rain!

Thank you for the bottle of champagne which we received during our recent stay. We always enjoy our visit at the cottage as it enables all the family to get together, especially at Christmas. The fact that the weather was inclement it meant that we were able to relax in a way that we could not in a hotel. I take this opportunity to thank you for your hospitality and to commend your Agents The Lakeland Cottage Company for all the help and co-operation we received from them.

Lovely time had by all !! Wonderful cottage, beautiful surroundings. Lovely log fire which made it all cosy inside.
We went on an adventure and climbed up Old Man, Coniston.

A lovely cottage in an excellent location. Lots of walks and mountain biking. The garden and stream were ideal in very hot and sunny weather. Would like to stay for another week.
What a wonderful cottage, having stayed in many cottages/hotels around Windermere, this is by far the best. Good walking, not too much traffic, Swan Inn great food! We came here for our 24th wedding anniversary, what a place to spend it!

Of all the choices we had when looking for a cottage in the Lakes, we're so glad we picked Tom Crag Barn. Even though the weather kept us in for many days, if you have to be stuck in, this is the place to be. Sitting in the conservatory over looking the beautiful garden with the stream in the background you can't but to mellow out. Also the best place for our family reunion. Please extend out thanks to all.
Thank you for an amazing stay! It was the greatest experience in my life, you have changed my view of the Lake District.

A comfortable cottage, perfect for Mum's 80th birthday and first visit to the Lakes. The conservatory provided plenty of relaxation and warmth! It also turned out to be an ideal wildlife watching haven which included pheasants, cockerels, hens, cats, dogs and array of birds and Herdwick – amazing!!
Hill Top and Tower Bank Arms for lunch wondering, Coniston, Bowness and Windermere, Rydal Mount and a thoroughly enjoyable time at Stott Park Bobbin Mill have been just some of the highlights.
Thank you so much.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at this gorgeous Barn. I loved sitting in the conservatory and garden enjoying the wildlife and river.
We had fantastic weather while the south of England had storms!
Thanks again.

Thank you for letting us share your wonderful home, a truly amazing barn conversion. My father Eric aged 94 had lived in nearby Ulverston all his life, until January of this year when he came down to live with us on the south coast. We brought him up to visit family & friends, staying at this cottage made it an even better experience! 10/10 !! - June 2012

A lovely cottage in an excellent location, lots of walks and mountain biking. The garden and stream were ideal in the very hot and sunny weather. Would like to stay another week- May 2012
First time in the Lakes, had a fantastic time. Barn location couldn't be better, would recommend a walk round Tarn Hows and lunch at the Blue Bird Cafe at Coniston, Boat Hire Centre. White Hart pub at Bouth excellent! - April 2012

Had a wonderful time. The weather has been glorious so we've seen the Lakes at its best. The cottage is fantastic and we seem to have a resident pheasant. We can agree with the eating places recommended by previous visitors and would suggest that The Punch Bowl in Crosthwaite should also be mentioned and that The Mallard Tearoom in Cartmel is really excellent for both quality & value. The best Sticky Toffee Pudding we've ever tasted! - March 2012
