Sleeping eight over four stunning bedrooms, this characterful property is an opportunity to relax and unwind in truly luxurious surroundings. Vaulted ceilings, superb polished floors and sympathetic decor make this holiday home a special one. The comfortable sofas and soft lighting in the lounge area make it perfect to retire to after a hearty meal, but French doors also flood lots of light in during the day. The snug and garden room have peaceful decor and stunning views so you can find a spot to hide away in no matter how many guests there are.

Head out straight from the property to Simpson Ground Tarn (1.5 miles) which is perfect for an easy waterside stroll. The foot of Lake Windermere is just 7 miles away and you’ll find Fell Foot Park there which is ideal for family picnics, and there’s even an educational tree trail to follow. The World of Beatrix Potter (9 miles) will delight fans both young and old, while more adventurous guests will love the treetop challenge at Go Ape Grizedale (14 miles). And if you don’t fancy heights, take walks around the surrounding trails.

We booked this for a family celebration. We were delighted with the facilities and layout. The pictures dont do the place justice. The garden was a surprise bonus at being so large and being able to for a walk from the back door was a bonus. Our dogs loved it!

Stunning, well equipped. Very generous amount of logs provided. Despite it being mid Feb even misty drizzling moments were enjoyed from the garden room or with hoods up on walks. Got some great photos. Sarah very helpful and approachable. Enjoyed a steam train trip combined with boat journey on Windermere. Nice location, clean property. I would say that the property is not quite as beautiful as on the pictures, but very unique. The upstairs bedroom is very cramped. The lower bedroom spacious, and next to it a lovely snug. Very disappointing that we waited a full week for a shower repair, as we were three couples and had chosen the barn for its three Read moreshowers. However, we were given a reduction for the week as we had not received what we had paid for. The grounds are gorgeous and car parking great. Hide
