Somewhere Map and Directions

Please note it is best to use these written directions rather than trusting to “Sat Nav” or “Google” directions as these can often bring you into the area on a convoluted route causing confusion, not the easiest start to your holiday.

From junction 36 on the M6 take A591 through towards Windermere then on to Ambleside. From Ambleside take the A593 to Coniston all the way into the village centre (approx. 7 miles from Ambleside). Once in Coniston Centre, Barclays Bank will face you, turn left signed for Hawkshead and Brantwood. If travelling to Coniston from the south ie: Greenodd, Barclays Bank will be on the right hand side and  you need to turn right towards Hawkshead and Brantwood. Follow this road all the way out of the village past the Waterhead Hotel shortly after which you will start to drive alongside the lake. At the head of the lake, take the right hand turn signed to Brantwood and East of the Lake. Follow this lane for approx. 1/4 mile. Townson Ground (for Somewhere) is the first property on the left. Turn left into the driveway and straight in front of you is the property with parking to the side.

Arrival time 4pm - Departure time 10am  Due to preparation requirements, early arrival requests may only be made on arrival day directly to the owner.

Please note that in order to maintain exclusivity and fairness to all estate guests, all properties and facilities are for the use of residents. To ensure respect of and maximum enjoyment for surrounding cottage occupants, non resident visitors are not allowed and the owners reserve the right to request that any should leave the premises immediately.

Any guests needing to have post or parcels sent to the cottage during their stay should first contact the owners to confirm that there will be somebody there to receive the items as all mail goes to the owners’ main address and not the cottage.

If arriving in the dark it is advisable to bring a torch.
