We’ve had a wonderful relaxing week here in this beautiful cottage. Visited south lakes many times as day trippers but its great to stay in Cartmel and enjoy all the village has to offer. Unsworth’s Yard was our favourite with its brewery, cheese shop and wine shop. Enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon eating and drinking there. Lots of great walks on your doorstep. Blackwell House is well worth a visit too. Cant wait to come back!

Had a lovely time in a part of the lakes we were not familiar with. The fact it was hot and sunny enhanced the enjoyment! It was lovely eating outside morning and evening as well as in a couple of local pubs. First visit to Cartmel but wont be our last! Thanks for the bottle of wine on arrival – a nice touch!

What a lovely village. Everyone was very friendly. The western lake district scenery is stunning. Holker Hall was so interesting and the gardens are SPECTACULAR! Luckily we had good weather. We drove up to Whitehaven. The countryside is wonderful. We enjoyed Muncaster Castle and Brantwood (John Ruskins home.) Love the sheep opposite.

Many thanks to a lovely lady from Lakeland Cottage Company who brought us three small saucepans - it made it so much easier self-catering for two. From booking the cottage to moving in everything was easy and straightforward. The cottage was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower very spacious. Cartmel is a lovely village and there were plenty of walks from the doorstep with our dog.  Plenty of pubs/restaurants in walking distance.  All in all a very enjoyable week.

A beautiful sunny week. Warm, welcoming and comfortable cottage. Cartmel is a very pretty village. We were made to feel welcome at the Priory service on Sunday. Thank you for the wine.

We had a really fabulous and relaxing break in your cosy cottage. Loved Cartmel. Can recommend Rogan & Co for fantastic food and Cavendish Arms. Just what we needed – a calm and indulgent long weekend.

I'm not on Facebook, but can't let that stop me dropping you a quick line to say how much we enjoyed our stay in Cartmel last week. The cottage was absolutely lovely, with everything you could possibly want, and so cosy and comfortable. Cartmel itself has become our new favourite place, and we will certainly be back!
Thank you for your excellent service and attention to detail.

We have had the most special stay-cation in this glorious cottage; the décor is beautiful and so cosy! We loved walking to the bread shop in the mornings for fresh croissants and cheese. My husband surprised me with a  romantic meal at the Michelin starred L’Enclume which we have been reading about for years, we enjoyed getting dressed up for dinner then being able to walk back to the cottage a little tipsy after an amazing meal. The views of the priory are lovely and we enjoyed the walk around the race course and the woods beyond where we spotted Roe deer. Thank you for a wonderful stay we hope to return in the summer and maybe catch the races.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and as this was my first stay in the Lake District can safely say we will be returning. The cottage was perfect and we were very impressed with the accommodation, welcome and how well supplied the cottage was. We would definitely recommend both the cottage and your company.
With kind regards. Natalie
