Middle Bank Guest Reviews

My wife, daughter, 2dogs  and I stayed at Middle Bank from 21/10 to 28/10/17. We found the cottage very homely, comfortable and quaint. The accommodation had everything that we required for a very enjoyable week. The dogs were very at home, with a secure garden to stretch their legs in. We would recommend this cottage to friends who are thinking of going to Cumbria for a break.

We enjoyed our stay at Middle Bank although the weather was consistently awful all week! The cottage is ideal for anyone with a dog(s) due to the enclosed garden, which  serves all three cottages, and the friendliness of the owners who live next door and have very friendly dogs themselves. The cottage can serve four people as it has two double bedrooms but it is small downstairs with one room containing kitchen, dining and seating areas, and there is a low beam across it so not to be recommended for anyone much over six foot. The area is lovely and one that we haven't explored before although exploring was limited by the weather.

We enjoyed our stay at Middle Bank.  Good location for lakes and towns and very quiet.  Enjoyed the Punchbow Pub which was within walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay at Middlebank a great deal. This is a very comfortable cottage and very homely indeed. We had everything we needed. The garden is very pleasant to be in and it was perfect for our Border Terrier to run around in. The village itself is quiet and charming and the local  gourmet pub serves high quality and delicious food.

Super relaxing time, loved the garden, sorry could not stay longer.

A haven of peace, tranquillity and comfort.

Peace, quiet, garden views, totally unwind in this cosy cottage, felt very welcome. Good local pubs. See you again soon.

A comfortable cottage to stay in. We enjoyed being in a quieter part of the Lake District but within easy access of some lovely pubs and places to walk.

A super pet friendly cottage.

Lovely views of the church and valley.
Robin & Marni are the most charming hosts - will be back.
We had a fantastic and memorable stay at Middle Bank. We thought the cottage and its location superb! Compact and bijou but very comfortable, cosy and well equiped. It couldn't have been better for our dogs with the enclosed garden and access or us - with the pub just a short walk away!

Thank you once again for your advice at such short notice upon booking and we will certainly be in touch with you again in the future and pass on a reference to friends. Kindest regards.

Hi John. The cottage was lovely, ideal for the dogs. Robin and Marni were incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd definitely recommend people to book
Kind regards - Paula
