The property can be found in Skelwith Bridge, a small cluster of traditional cottages set around a stone bridge over the River Brathay, close to the Skelwith Force waterfall. To the east is the charming town of Ambleside (2.5 miles), with the thriving village of Coniston to the south-west (5.5 miles). Destinations for local walks include Loughrigg Fell (1.5 miles) and Grasmere (3 miles). Windermere is a great location for water sports, ferry trips and spectacular lakeside walks. Also nearby there’s the Beatrix Potter Gallery in Hawkshead, Claife Heights and The Old Man of Coniston (all within 11 miles).
