Cockermouth is an idyllic market town set on the edge of the Lake District National Park and built on the banks of the Derwent and Cocker rivers. The beautiful tranquillity of a lake, the salty breeze of the sea and the breath-taking scenery of the fells are all only a 20 minute drive away. The Lake District offers hikes for everyone – high fells for the epic adventurers and lower hills for a more gentle exploration. A ramble around the picturesque lakes gives an opportunity for mindful reflection and feelings of wonder when you catch a glimpse of the vast fells perfectly mirrored in the water. Road cyclists and mountain bikers are spoilt for choice with the range of country lanes, permitted cycleways and bridleways to suit all experience levels and with magnificent scenery along the way. There is plenty to do in the town itself, with Wordsworth House and Jennings Brewery both a short stroll away.

Accessed from an external staircase, this fully refurbished first-floor apartment is comfortable and welcoming. As you enter the apartment from the hallway, you will find a spacious bright lounge with a Smart TV. After a busy day exploring the area you can you can look forward to getting cosy on the comfy corner sofa whilst enjoying your favourite film or reading a good book by the flame effect electric fire. Just opposite the lounge is the double bedroom which offers a peaceful and calm space to switch off for the evening. Further along the hallway, you will find the stylish kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Rustle up a home cooked meal or enjoy a leisurely takeaway at the dining table where you can plan your adventures to come. To complete the property there is a spacious bathroom with a bath to soak in after a long walk, a separate shower and WC.

There is a small south facing outdoor terrace with seating and you are just a short walk to the river and park where you will find lots of open space to sit back and relax on a sunny day. There is private parking for one car to the rear of the property. 

Cockermouth has an array of fabulous restaurants serving high-quality locally sourced produce and pubs with a roaring fire and beer garden's for the warmer months. The town also offers a wide range of independent shops, cafes, boutiques and craft galleries. Cockermouth's calendar is bursting at the seams with events including Taste of Cumbria, Malcolm Wilson Rally, Northbound Music Festival and Woolfest. The iconic Jennings Brewery offers tours and a chance to sample some famous real ales, and Wordsworth House and Gardens, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, provides a fascinating insight into how the poet and his family lived in the 18th century. Keswick, famous for it's breath-taking views, is a short distance away and hosts the popular Mountain Festival with world class outdoor sports, activities, talks, films and outdoor music. Enjoy a round of golf at Cockermouth Golf Club, which offers stunning views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake.
