The family bathroom is also on the ground floor, while the final bedroom, a charming en-suite double room is on the first floor. Also upstairs is the refreshing and cheerful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a cosy wood burner, Smart TV and plenty of seating, the lounge is a lovely space for relaxation at the end of a fabulous day. The kitchen has a range of useful equipment so you can rustle up all your family favourites and enjoy a hearty meal around the country-style dining table. The quaint village of Ennerdale Bridge has a choice of great pubs, shops and cafes, and is close to the most westerly of the lakes, Ennerdale Water (1.5 miles). Also within easy reach are Loweswater, Wast Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water (all within 15 miles), with opportunities for a range of water sports, bike trails and walks. Just 10 miles to the west, the St Bees Head Heritage Coast is home to a major RSPB reserve with chances to spot guillemots and razorbills.
