Set by the banks of the Newland Beck River, this unique log cabin offers the kind of seclusion and serenity that only the Lake District can offer. Sleeping six guests across three spacious bedrooms, this property boasts panoramic views of the Cumbrian hills and coastline and makes a wonderful base for walkers, hikers and bikers looking to explore the Furness Fells. Newlands Valley is synonymous with Beatrix Potter so why not let its picturesque charm inspire your next adventure?

Scribed by hand, this cabin is full of thoughtful touches. Climb the three steps up to the front door and step into the welcoming open-plan kitchen and living area. Its sloping ceilings and well-considered lighting help the room feel spacious yet intimate. Gather friends and family around the stylish dining table and plan your route through the Grizedale Forest then, after a long day of exploration, settle down with a homecooked meal around the rustic wood burner. Then retire to one of the property's three generous bedrooms, each featuring locally sourced wood, and awake to see the wildlife roaming the grounds. Step outside onto the large terrace and discover the perfect place for dining alfresco. You can even make use of the BBQ for an unforgettable night under the stars.

South Lakeland is home to some of the Lake District's most loved attractions. The tranquillity of Coniston Waters is only 7 miles away and the lake's Victorian steam yacht, which sails between March and November, offers guests a taste of old-fashioned opulence. The world-famous Windermere meanwhile lies just 8 miles up the A590. Or why not venture the 15 miles to the Old Man of Coniston? The stunning scenery of this famous fell provides the perfect backdrop to an array of walks and cycle rides for all capabilities.

Lovely stay in a clean, spacious cabin very near to the charming Ulverston - plenty of room for 6 in the cabin. We were all gutted to be leaving.

Beautifully made real log cabin set on the outskirts of the lake district. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. Loads of access to outstanding areas within a 30 min drive as well as loads of outdoor options on your doorstep. Without a doubt the cleanest and most well presented self catering cottage we have ever stayed in.

Cannot recommend this cottage enough. 4 of us went here for three days and two nights in November 2019 and this was the perfect getaway. The house was pristine, homely with lots of thoughtful touches. Louise was welcoming and very accommodating providing information about the local area. Already planning our next trip back

Excellent high end log cabin, location is perfect, owners are really friendly and helpful. Everything you will need is provided in the cabin. The kids loved the alpacas, especially feeding them carrots. Close to Ulverston which has the most amazing restaurants.

Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
