The cottage (bungalow) is lovely and the garden exceptional. We spent a good deal of time in the hot tub which was very popular with the younger members of the family. The owner supplied lots of games for the garden which was appreciated. The welcome pack was also very much appreciated by all. We were not as close to attractions as I had hoped but Read morewe found lots to do even if the weather was not kind to us all the time. Hide

The property and garden are amazing. So clean and comfy. Lots of space inside and out. Our time spent there was brilliant and a great location for seeing the Cumbria, The Lakes and getting to Scotland. With Brampton a short walk away for all your needs we had such a super chilled holiday. The hot tub is a great size and was super clean. 5 Star all Read moreround. Hide

Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
