Step inside and discover a generous ground floor space with an open-plan living area, master bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The living area puts the kitchen, diner and lounge in one bright and cheerful place, with skylights and French doors flooding the area with light. Your party’s head chef will relish in a spacious kitchen with an American-style fridge/freezer, whilst those on washing up duty will be thrilled to discover a dishwasher. Once meals have been enjoyed, find a Smart TV to lose yourself in a film or perhaps take a dip in your private hot tub.

Discover the beautiful grounds of Calthwaite Hall and frequent the local pub without even having to leave the village, both spots just a few metres walk to your front door. For trips further afield, the brink of the Lake District (8 miles) with its Ullswater Lake (12.5 miles) and Skiddaw mountain peak (21 miles) can be found just a short car journey away. Alternatively, you may prefer to head east and discover walking routes in the vast North Pennines AONB (12 miles).

Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable and set in a beautiful location. Hot tub was a great added bonus. Will definitely return.

Great value for money. Lovely people including the pub staff. The pub food was wholesome and super tasty. Great location, 15 minutes drive from lots of historic and beautiful locations. For a staycation it was superb and will be booking again.

This Carriage house has been decorated to a high standard. It was very clean, the hot tub was fantastic, we used it more than we thought we would. It was very private. Had the sun on the patio all day. Area is very pretty go for a walk in Coombe woods and along the river, beautiful. The pub was 30 seconds away, we didnt go as 1st week out of lockdoRead morewn and I had taken everything, it looked ok and does food not far to stagger home if you needed to. Hide
