Weve just spent 4 nights in Swinside Lodge. What can I say, its a fantastic house! This was our first friends get together after Covid lockdown & we couldnt have picked a better house. If youre looking for a house for up to 20 guests, I cant recommend this place enough.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Perfect for our family celebration. Everything we needed in the large kitchen. The bedrooms were lovely, all very spacious. The three reception rooms were great for watching tv or a chill out reading space. Spotlessly clean. We will be making a return visit. We all loved it.

Really beautiful house and garden in a perfect location. Really well equipped kitchen, and lovely social dining space at the back of the house. So much space! We had great weather, so hardly used the various lounges.

Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
