This cottage is in a great location for exploring the northern lakes. Situated just outside of Keswick, it is surrounded by stunning scenery in the village of Braithwaite. Keswick is a popular tourist destination and offers the best of both worlds, with independent shops and eateries as well as fantastic lakeside walks. The historic town of Cockermouth is also a short drive away, with Wordsworth House and Jennings Brewery amongst its delights. The Lakes Distillery, Whinlatter Forest and The Lakes Wildlife Park are also in close proximity - so there is always plenty to do!

This is a beautifully decorated cottage, with fantastic large windows at the back which open up onto the private patio and garden which is a fantastic space for the children (and dog) to run about and play. The lounge / diner is a bright space and ideal for socialising, this space offers a dining table to enjoy meals and the comfortable sofas to relax in at the end of a busy day. Down 3 steps at the end of the lounge is the kitchen - a bright and modern space with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. Downstairs there is also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a separate shower room with WC. Moving upstairs, there is a king-sized bedroom with TV and DVD as well as an en-suite shower. There is also another double with TV and DVD and 2 twin rooms each with a TV and DVD all brimming with light. The main bedroom is on this floor and consists of a bath with shower attachment and WC.

Outside there is a large lawn which is for your use and a patio area, ideal for those summer BBQ's and a glass of wine of an evening.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We loved the cottage. Stylish, clean,well equipped, very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms and a very good location. The slate floor and steps from lounge to kitchen were not toddler friendly and the garden could be made safer. However this is not a complaint, just to advise others with small children . It is a beautiful place to stay.

We had an amazing time the cottage was stunning. Full of comfy seats and beds. The grounds were gorgeous and loved the visits from the pheasants. The cottage was Full of modern gadgets we were so impressed. We cant wait to book again. Thank you for the wonderful memories of such a beautiful place.

This was a great cottage, great location just of the A66 near Keswick which has a great local market Thursday and Saturday, lots of sound walks on your doorstep. Should recommend to anyone. Very well equipped massive garden and barbecue area. Couldnt fault at all 5stars.

Super downstairs living space, very well equipped with everything one needed to be able to enjoy a holiday in the Lake District whatever the weather. Comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathrooms, the downstairs shower was especially useful.

This is a lovely new cottage, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent location just two miles from Keswick with a bus stop nearby, and two pubs and a small shop are within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay at Stile End Cottage. The accommodation was excellent, in terms of both cleanliness and specification, and Mr & Mrs Duncan were super hosts. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property, and hope to return ourselves.
