Fantastic property in a brilliantly location for exploring the nearby surroundings. Located in a lovely peaceful town with lots of nice local facilities. The cottage is spacious, kept clean and tidy and we had 0 issues apart from being unable to figure out the central heating / hot tub but this was all resolved swiftly by the owners despite us not Read morenoticing until late evening. I would highly recommend the cottage and will no doubt be returning all in our party had an excellent time. Hide

An amazing find, spotlessly clean, well equipped and the log fire made it a very cosy stay during a particularly wet week. Two Michelin star restaurants and lovely shops capped it all off. Oooh and the spa.... just heavenly.... we will be back... thank you

The holiday cottage location and facilities were very good and having a hot tub to relax in was excellent after a day out. The only disappoint was two of the beds were broken and the shower drained very slowly in the en-suite.

Stayed here at the end of January for a big family birthday celebration. The location was fantastic right in the heart of Cartmel. A very nice house . Needed a few issues resolving such as the heating and back door key but once these are sorted out it will be a fabulous choice of accommodation. We had a lovely time and would return.

Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
