The location and general scenery is wonderful, the downsides are the lack of cleanliness, the lack of hot water ( I did contact the owners who moved the time slots but I believed the water should be on all day, we were six adults and a young child and water often ran out because water wasn't being heated up all day). Lovely house, everything you need, very comfy and owners very helpful. Could have been a bit cleaner as behind beds, bed head boards, skirting boards, doors, draws, wardrobes, lamp shades had not been cleaned in a while very dusty so I actually cleaned it all as my mother in law suffers with asthma and I am ocd clean.

This property has a wonderful garden and we loved sitting having a drink overlooking the fells. Our 3 dogs also enjoyed it. There is plenty of room in the property with the beds being comfortable and enough space for clothes. The library is great. This cottage is lovely - and plenty of room for 6 adults plus a baby. The garden was really great too, and the summer house was very useful. The only small niggle, was the very under-powered shower, but it is a great cottage and a beautiful location.

A lovely week at Moss Bank with wall to wall sunshine! Beautiful views and walks from the door. This is not your normal touristy Lake District so dont expect a lot of quaint shops and gastro pubs but we had very good food in the nearby Bower House. Garden is not totally secure for dogs so you do have to watch them.
