There are opportunities to kayak, paddleboard and canoe from Bowness-on-Windermere, 0.5 miles away, or perhaps you would prefer to stay on dry land and explore the independent shops and eateries. Golfers are well catered for at the popular golf club, 2.5 miles away, and keen fishermen will be spoilt for choice of where to cast their line as there are opportunities for free and permit fishing depending on the location.

Perfect house. Cozy and warm. Would have loved to be in the lovely garden but rained alot! Situated in between Windermere and Bowness.. easy to get to both by walking. Kitchen had everything you needed and the beds were VERY comfy. Everything you could need. We will stay again

The holiday property is clean & modern and in a good location for both Windermere & Bowness. A little welcome pack Garden is hard landscaped & enclosed, so perfect if you have dogs. The only drawback, Sainsbury's couldn't find property (didn't call us), so failed to deliver order :-(

Extremely well appointed property in easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and pier/lake. Excellent on street parking outside the property. Very modern inside and really good to have sole use of the garden area if you do take a dog to the property, which is accessed via the main bedroom double doors at ground level. Really nice accommodation in a lovely location with easy on street parking. All facilities worked perfectly and the garden was lovely. ( just needs the gate replacing )Kitchen was really well equipped with everything you need and to a good standard. Will be back in a few weeks and cant wait.

We had an excellent stay, very relaxing in a perfect location. The spacious kitchen and dining area was well equipped and the bedrooms and bed linen were comfortable. Both en-suite bathrooms had everything you needed. The location of this property was absolutely excellent, a short walk to Windermere or Bowness in either direction makes this the perRead morefect base. Lower Thornbarrow was nice enough the garden is an added bonus, for us the place did not feel homely it felt like a rental. Just little touches missing but perhaps we felt like this because we had just stayed at a beautiful property in Keswick the week before and prefer that area. The location was not for us a little far out and frankly Windermere Read moreand Bowness are disappointing. Parking is good with no issues. This property was just not for us, sadly but can see why others do. Hide

Expected place to be cleaner than it was, windows haven't been cleaned for a long while. Patio and decking area are nice. Accommodation is spacious and well planned. Nice quiet road and central to Bowness and Windermere.

This was our second stay here and as before was lovely and clean and so well equipped for everything. The location it fabulous for Windermere and Bowness and everything is on walking distance. We booked kayaks and walked to Hilltop and Wray Castle and went on a lake cruise too. We ate at various local restaurants and pubs and all the food was so deRead morelicious. Our final night was at Porto for our friends 50th and we had a cake from Brysons and flowers from Brackens of Bowness both delivered to Porto Hide

Fantastic property in a central location. Plenty of on street parking. 10 min walk to the lake and Windermere. Property itself has everything you need for a home from home staycation. The welcome pack is a lovely touch. Will certainly be back in the future.

The property was very much home from home as it was very clean and comfortable, very warm, great location and had all the equipment you need. A very spacious apartment and in a great location. On a quiet road plenty of parking but all amenities and restaurants etc just short walk away. Huge kitchen with massive freezer and fridge. This beautiful, spacious apartment with a lovely garden was quite simply perfect for our stay in the Lake District. We were a mother, daughter, baby grandchild and two dogs. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided inc cot and high chair. WiFi was excellent too. The location is perfect for walking into either Windermere or Bowness, 10/Read more15 mins either way. A wonderful place to spend a week exploring the beautiful lake district. Bowness is amazingly dog friendly. The property was clean, beautifully presented and perfectly equipped. Within 10 mins walk of bowness and windermere. The garden was lovely although access through the downstairs master bedroom was unusual - my only niggle was there was no bacRead morek garden gate.
