This stunning cottage lies in the picturesque village of Cartmel at the foot of the Lake District. Sleeping four guests across two stylish bedrooms, it's an excellent choice for couples or smaller families looking to explore Lake Windermere and Cumbria's picturesque coastline. But with Cartmel offering a wonderful array of independent shops and restaurants, plus a 12th-century priory to explore, you may never have to leave.

The property's rustic stone exterior gives way to a sleek design, reflecting Cartmel's unique blend of classic and contemporary charm. Step into the generous open-plan kitchen and living area and discover a space perfect for socialising. Gather around the breakfast bar or curl up by the electric fireplace as you plan your next ramble. The free-standing bath is always on hand to ease weary feet. Both bedrooms meanwhile make for a wonderful night's sleep. The king-size master boasts Parisian styling, while the second double offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. But the vista is best enjoyed on the fabulous patio; with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, there's nowhere better to enjoy a meal together.

Once famous as the birthplace of sticky toffee, Cartmel has given birth to a phenomenal food scene. A wealth of artisans and delis will whet the appetite for dinner at one of Cartmel's two renowned restaurants. A circular stroll, taking in the village's famous racecourse plus the peaceful surroundings of Hampsfell and Eggerslack Wood, should make room for pudding. England's largest lake, Windermere, is only 7 miles away and can be enjoyed from the comfort of one of the numerous cruises that sail past Bowness and Sawrey and into the heart of the central fells. Or why not set off on foot and discover one of the Lake District's most iconic spots up close?

Very clean and thoughtfully equipped cottage. Well situated within Cartmel, a short walk from the Priory, restaurants, pubs and shops. Arrangements all went smoothly. Would stay again and recommend to others.

This is a lovely, well appointed and located cottage. We were 3 adults and it was just right. With 4 people, the space for eating on the kitchen island would be a little tight. Lots of good walks directly from the cottage and pubs for dinner in the village if you dont fancy cooking. Highly recommended and Steve was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage in excellent location in Cartmel. Everything is within a few minutes walk and with stunning views. With the included parking permit we managed to park outside the door which was handy because parking can be tricky here. Cottage was spotlessly clean and freshly decorated so everything in good condition, well equipped kitchen, fire, goRead moreod quality smart tvs etc. Only (small) complaint was no tea and coffee facilities, but shop is right next door. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kathryn's Cottage which is ideally situated on the edge of Cartmel, opposite two shops and is both very well appointed and very clean. We particularly liked the Kitchen's centre island and the bifold doors onto the enclosed rear courtyard with views over the field of sheep. The beds were very comfortable with plentRead morey of storage and towels. The wifi worked well and it is very helpful to have a car park permit for the spaces outside the property. Recommended. We had an excellent stay at Kathryns Cottage. Cartmel is a lovely village and a good base from which to explore the Lake District. The cottage is centrally located and is extremely close to a lovely village pub and shops, cafes etc. Would recommend.
