Situated at the southern end of the Lake District National Park, friends and families will love this recently renovated home in the delightful town of Grange-over-Sands. Overlooking Morecambe Bay, the quiet Edwardian seaside resort occupies an idyllic position between the mountains and the sea, thus offering guests the best of both worlds. The town has plenty of shops and eateries, but you can also head north into the Lakes to explore the rich and varied landscapes and discover the abundance of independent shops and eateries on offer.

Bright and airy, neutral tones create a sense of light and space throughout this property, making it an ideal place to relax after a busy day exploring. From the small porch, head into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can all spend quality time together whether you’re cooking, dining or relaxing. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’ll need, whilst the lounge is comfortable and welcoming. A conservatory offers additional space should you want to escape for a quiet morning coffee. Completing the accommodation, you’ll find two immaculate bedrooms and a contemporary bathroom on the first floor. Outside, the well-presented garden is perfect for a spot of alfresco dining.

Grange-over-Sands is popular with wildlife enthusiasts, as the estuary and surrounding countryside is home to many nature reserves. It’s also home to some stunning parks and gardens if you fancy a gentle stroll nearby. Venturing further afield, you can head north to Lake Windermere, which has many towns (such as Bowness-on-Windermere, 14.5 miles) dotted along its shores and a range of water sports on offer. Alternatively, quieter Coniston Water (17 miles) is also popular with visitors. For more outdoor fun, head to Grizedale Forest (15 miles), which has something for all ages and abilities.

The cottage was booked for my son and partner who travelled from Australia with their two young children. They stayed for four weeks. Well equipped & presented cottage which was a great base for exploring the southern Lakes. Off road parking a plus in this location as high season parking could be a challenge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. Hare Cottage is ideally place for exploring the area and is very easily reached off the motorway and main Lakeland routes. Local stores and eating places are a short walk away and Cartmel is 6 minutes by car/taxi. Highly recommended.

This was a last minute booking and it was absolutely gorgeous. Rachels attention to detail was amazing, beautifully equipped, decorated and layed out. The little town 5 minutes walk up the road is so quaint and you dont need to drive anywhere for anything if you dont want to. This cottage was beautifully presented inside and out, we loved our stay here. Its a super place to stay if you have a dog as the garden is secure and the park is 2mins away and the prom 5 mins away. The cottage is very well located within easy walking distances to the park, Promenade and local shops. Its spacious, well laid out and very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. The parking facility is excellent.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hare Cottage, and in Grange-over-Sands. The cottage is well equipped and cosy, and the owners have provided a book with what you need to know about the cottage. The nearest food shop is only a few minutes walk away, and railway station and bus stop a 15 min walk along the Promenade. I recommend a visit to Haverthwaite-LaRead morekeside railway/Lake Windermere and to Morecambe. Hide

Hare cottage is ideally placed for both the Lake District and the Blackpool/morecombe area. It has a tasteful and modern decor, all the facilities are good and we had a really comfortable time during our stay. There is also the added bonus of off street parking.

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The location was ideal for the local shops. There is a small park nearby where you can walk your tail waggers. Further afield you can visit the unique setting of Morecambe Bay and also the lakes.

Loved our stay at Hare Cottage. Immaculately clean and everything you could possibly need. Shops are close at hand and beautiful views of the Bay from the upstairs bedroom windows. Lovely garden furniture at rear of property and lovely sun lounge. Many cafes and restaurants close at hand, and also a lovely promenade. Would highly recommend.
