This exquisite coastal getaway sleeps eight guests, meaning it’s perfect for a large family get-together or celebrating a special occasion with friends. The property boasts large social spaces – ideal for entertaining – plus your own private hot tub. The accommodation is just 200 metres from Silecroft Beach, where you can enjoy a relaxing day at the seaside or partake in a variety of water sports. Keen walkers may wish to take on the challenge of Scafell Pike, which lies just 24.5 miles away.

The luxurious property has been impeccably designed, with great attention paid to creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The stylish first lounge boasts two large leather sofas to sink into after a long walk, whilst warming your toes in front of the wood burner and admiring the magnificent views of Black Combe Fell. The large lounge/kitchen/diner is a quite spectacular room, thanks to the enormous sky light that almost fills the ceiling and floods the area with natural light. Dine together around the large table or throw open the bi-fold doors to the decked area, to create a wonderful indoor/outdoor entertaining space. Before bed, relax in the bubbling outdoor hot tub or unwind in the glorious free-standing bath or sauna in the elegant family bathroom.

The walking opportunities in this part of the country truly are endless. If you want a real sense of achievement, take on Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. It’s a tough climb and requires careful planning, but the views from the summit are spectacular, encompassing all four nations of the British Isles. If you need a rest, step back in time with a journey on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (13 miles). The route of the steam train takes you deep into the Eskdale Valley and is often described as one of the most beautiful train journeys in England.

The owner Kim was kind and helpful. Steve kept the hottub pristine and was on hand if we needed anything. The house was gorgeous, warm, and luxurious. We loved it, and used the property as the perfect springboard to explore the Lakes for our joint 30th. We can highly recommend staying here!

Loved the cottage, and great facilities - just as described. Ideally located for a stroll to the west facing beach where sunsets are beautiful. About an hours drive to the central lakes and lovely scenery along the way. The cottage is fitted to a high standard although some essentials were lacking or not supplied (toilet rolls/kitchen towels, washiRead moreng up liquid, bin bags etc) meaning a trip to the supermarket to replenish.
