Tucked away close to the centre of ‘outdoor capital’ Keswick in the Lake District National Park, this ground-floor apartment is perfect for couples. Located in a quiet street in the bustling market town, you have an array of independent shops and eateries within a few hundred metres. However, you also have an abundance of natural beauty on your doorstep, so keen walkers will be spoilt for choice. You’ll be well-placed to discover the breathtaking scenery of the northern lakes, with stunning Derwentwater less than a mile away and Bassenthwaite Lake, a nature reserve with its own nesting ospreys, less than 5 miles.

This stylish ground-floor apartment has been beautifully decorated to provide contemporary accommodation in the heart of the town. Light and airy throughout, the cool tones create a welcoming and relaxing space, whilst high-end fixtures and fittings add a sense of class. After discarding your coats and boots in the hall, head into the delightful open-plan lounge/kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up a storm, which you can then enjoy at the breakfast bar before sinking into the sofas for a relaxing evening. An immaculate bedroom and shower room complete the accommodation.

There is a wealth of walking routes from Keswick, including a gentle walk up to the atmospheric Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles), which offers stunning panoramic views. Venturing further afield, you can access the quieter northern ascents to magnificent Skiddaw and Blencathra, as well as Catbells (all within 7 miles). Just 5 miles south is beautiful Borrowdale: a good starting point for Scafell Pike. Within the town itself, you can enjoy a stroll on the banks of Derwentwater, take a boat ride or hire a canoe. You can also visit the Derwent Pencil Museum.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Absolutely loved our stay here! This is a fantastic property, equipped with everything you need & very well presented! The bed was very comfortable and we were also happy that there was off road parking. There was a welcome pack, which included tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits and also a washing up pack (which was very handy). Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
