Set on the banks of Esthwaite Water, discover this stylish apartment on the ground floor of a majestic manor house. Boasting 40 acres of land and a private pathway down to the lake, this property offers an entirely regal place for four guests to stay. Versatile zip-and-link bedrooms make it the perfect choice for a variety of guest makeups and the many wonderful offerings of the Lake District lay waiting to be discovered close by. Visit historically charged local towns or simply tour the Lakeland’s namesake bodies of water, constantly soaking up the unforgettable scenery and mystical landscapes that put this national park on the map.

Despite its regal manor house exterior, this property has been lovingly updated to a completely contemporary style with plenty of mod cons. Brightly painted walls add a sense of charm and excitement to the property, whilst the Lake District OS map feature wall in the hallway is a totally unique touch. Enjoy sociable evenings in the open-plan living space where kitchen, lounge and diner come together, always finding plenty of entertainment on the Smart TV. Or, venture outside into the acres of surrounding shared land to make the most of bright weather. Visitors of all ages will adore a trip to the private shore, finding complimentary rowing boats for a trip out onto the water.

Once you’ve explored the shared gardens and Esthwaite Water, venture a little further and lose yourself in the glorious Lake District region. You’ll find the famous Lake Windermere just 3 miles away, perfect for taking the ferry over to Bowness-on-Windermere (4.5 miles) for the afternoon. Or, enjoy a trip down memory lane with a trip to Hawkshead’s Beatrix Potter Museum (1.5 miles) and a trip to a local pub or tearoom. Further afield, The Old Man of Coniston (8 miles) offers an ever-rewarding mountain hike with spectacular views.

A wonderful holiday flat. The pictures don't do it justice. We stayed there as a family of 4 and had the most wonderful time. The interior design is beautiful and very welcoming, lots of extras like books and games for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The outside area is beautiful and very well maintained. Would definitly stRead moreay again and recommend highly. Hide

Adventure, memories and awe-inspiring natural beauty await you in the rugged, wild and unique Cumbrian Lake District where beautiful expanses of water merge with magical forests against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and fells.

This ancient land has been sculpted by time and nature and is the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UK National Park to be awarded this outstanding accolade. Poets, writers and artists throughout the ages have been instinctively drawn here; William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin, to name a few. The attractions and the diverse landscape will not fail to charm the young and the young at heart, whether that be thrill-seeking activities you seek, pure and cathartic inspiration or simply just some relaxation, you will find it here.

Cycling, walking, canoeing, white-water rafting, flying, parachuting and ballooning are just some of the offerings for any level of adrenalin junky. Experience the glory of nature in the wild or in a setting such as the Predator Experience where you can walk with wolves and learn about the importance of conservation. For a complete day of family, enjoy treetop capers at Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest.

Vibrant towns and villages are there to be discovered, be it by land or water. You can step back in time and enjoy a steamboat cruise on a lake or leisurely unearth the dynamic scene of contemporary art, culture and some of the best dining in the UK by foot, bus or car.

The National Park is an area of breath-taking beauty that will leave you spoilt for choice, refuelled and inspired. So much so that you’ll want to come back time and time again.
