Set in an idyllic spot with beautiful views, this fantastic property accommodates up to eight guests, making it ideal for a family celebration or reunion. The property retains plenty of original features including exposed beams, barn-style doors and vaulted ceilings, and has been luxuriously furnished and tastefully decorated throughout with an eclectic and sometimes quirky range of art and objects from around the world.

 

This large and inviting Lakeland barn conversion is located in extensive grounds with far-reaching panoramic views. Entering this spacious property, the welcoming entrance hall features a winding staircase leading up directly into the beautiful formal dining room, a wonderful space for everyone to gather, and features glorious views across the hills. Exploring the upper ground floor further, the charming main lounge provides an ideal space for the whole family to relax, and the attractive farmhouse-style kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. Returning to the lower ground floor, you will find four beautiful and relaxing bedrooms and a cheerful snug which makes a great extra lounge. Outside, the terraced patios and large lawns are perfect for children to play in, and for everyone to sit back and enjoy the surrounding vistas. This property does not allow charging of electric vehicles using a regular plug into the property. This is for insurance purposes. The nearest charging facility is approximately 5 miles away.

 

Just a mile from the northern shores of Ullswater, the property makes a glorious base for exploring the northern parts of the Lake District. There are miles of stunning woodland walks to explore, with charming villages along the way. The bustling town of Penrith is to the north (9 miles), with the peaks of Little Mell Fell and Great Mell Fell to the west, and the Aira Force Waterfall to the south.

Beautiful , comfortable and well equipped home with amazing views across Ullswater. 3 separate sitting areas so lots of room for 8 of us to relax. The owners have put a lot of love and care into the property, with lovely decor and details.

We had such an amazing time in the Lakes over the xmas/new year period and that was because of Bank Barn. Everything was perfect. The heating and facilities were just out of this world and everyone of us were warm and cosy throughout. We loved the decor and there was so much space in the master bedroom. so much space and so much choice in which rooRead morems to spend those cosy nights. This is a wonderful house full of character and warmth, the Owner clearly takes pride in their house and it was decorated and furnished with quality items. We stayed for Christmas and the Owner installed a massive Christmas tree and decorated it beautifully. The service was also fantastic. Fantastic week at this exceptional property. Spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated with a warm homely feel. Stunning views of the surrounding lakes and hills. Another fantastic stay in Bank Barn. This time we had the full gamut of Lake District weather from lovely sunshine to lashing rain and gales. But part of the beauty of Bank Barn is that you can sit luxuriously inside and watch the weather against the majesty of the fells.

What a great holiday! We didn't want to leave. Bank Barn is a lovely place irrespective of its location. It's spacious, imaginatively designed, warm and the owners have invested in the best furniture, kitchen equipment etc so everything feels built to last. But what a location! A beautiful & unique property with a lovely garden, perfect for enjoying the incredible views over Ullswater. The kitchen was the best equipped of any cottage weve ever stayed in which made cooking very straightforward. Barn Bank is a stunning property with a fantastic view. The house is well appointed, very comfortable and relaxing. The communication with the owner and the manager of the house was rapid, friendly and easy. We had a great break here and would definitely like to come again.

Both the property and location exceeded expectations. Everything was top quality and the little arrival goodies were appreciated.
