The cottage features a cosy and inviting lounge, with plenty of seating, a wood burner, Smart TV and French doors filling the room with light, making an ideal space for everyone to relax at the end of a great day out. Exploring further, the kitchen/diner has a wide range of useful equipment along with a charming dining area perfect for sharing a fantastic family meal. There are three light and refreshingly decorated bedrooms to choose from – two doubles and one small 4ft double – all overlooking the front garden and featuring ample wardrobe space. One of the rooms has an en-suite shower room, and there’s also a stylish and invigorating family bathroom. Outside, the lovely courtyard garden has a bistro dining set and BBQ plinth, providing an ideal spot for dining alfresco.
Haverthwaite is home to the popular Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, a steam train line that takes you through to the southern tip of nearby Windermere (4 miles). Local attractions include the Lakeland Motor Museum, Fell Foot, Stott Park Bobbin Mill and the Lakes Aquarium in Newby Bridge (all within 4.5 miles). Also nearby are the beautiful Coniston Water (8 miles) and the Furness peninsula, home of the South Lakes Safari Zoo (9.5 miles) and the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston (6 miles).
