This charming cottage is set in the undulating Lake District National Park. It’s a perfect base for a family of five or a group of friends, complete with stunning views and a lovely garden space. Keen walkers will find an abundance of routes within easy reach; climb one of the many fells in the area, and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views. Lake Windermere (4 miles) has scenic walks along the water’s edge, as well as opportunities to take to the water on paddle boards or canoes. Literacy lovers and children will love a trip to World of Beatrix Potter (5.5 miles) which brings to life all the stories. Alternatively, spend a day at the lovely market town of Kendal (6 miles) which has plenty of shops and eateries, as well as tourist attractions including the ruins of Kendal Castle and Mire House and Gardens.
Leave your walking boots and coats in the hallway, which leads to the downstairs bathroom, living room, and practical kitchen. Prepare delicious meals and eat together at the dining table set underneath a beamed ceiling in the lounge/diner. Once you have refuelled, you can get comfortable on the sofas and fire up the wood burner, which offers a lovely, cosy atmosphere during the evenings. Beyond this is a study space, ideal for those who need to get on with some work while away, or those wishing to get stuck into a good book. Climbing the stairs, the three bedrooms await. Pick from a king, a twin, and a single room, which all have fabulous views and beams adorning the ceilings. A shower room and a separate WC complete the interior.
Outside, the garden is a welcoming slice of rural tranquillity. There are several different seating areas at varying levels so you can enjoy the sun or the shade, dine alfresco, and soak up panoramic views. Private parking is provided for three cars.
