On the first floor we have the kitchen/diner, which is fully equipped with everything you’ll need for a tasty snack or three-course meal. There’s also more formal seating at the dining table, where you can share a meal, play games or plan the next adventure. From here, a spacious first-floor lounge with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling adding to the sense of grandeur, as does the carefully selected statement decor. The warming wood burner is the focal point of the room with comfortable sofas facing it – the perfect place to cosy up of an evening with a glass of wine while watching a movie on the Smart TV. Enjoy the views from the floor-to-ceiling doors, which open into a Juliet balcony, over a cup of tea each morning. Down on the ground floor are the two welcoming bedrooms comprising one twin room and a beautifully finished king-size bedroom. Adjacent to the king-size room is the stunning family bathroom with a separate shower and bath.

Accessed via the kitchen, the outside area offers a tranquil place to relax. With a suntrap decking area and gravel patio, you can soak up the rural ambience of being surrounded by lush heathland come rain or shine.

A lovely upside down cottage that makes the most of the views. Very well equipped. Warm. Quiet. An added advantage of a local pub so you dont have to cook every night. Basically you could live here.

A lovely, comfortable, modern and well appointed cottage. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside. An added bonus is the outdoor decking area. Plenty of local walks from the cottage and close to many interesting places. A friendly local pub just a few minutes walk away.

The cottage was immaculately clean, lovely decorated and stocked with enough glasses, plates, etc. We really loved our stay here and the views from the livingroom are amazing. Close to Hawkshead and Ambleside and great for trips within the hour to Muncaster Castle, Sizergh Castle, Keswick, and many more lovely places.

Thank you very much for a great stay at Marigold Barn. We thought that the barn conversion was really well designed, and we enjoyed the tasteful and comfortable furnishings, as well as the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful location. Generally quiet area, although neighbours did leave barking dogs outside! Close to lots of walks/places to visit. High quality furniture and soft furnishings but property is tired and was not very clean. It will have been great when first done but appears to have just been left. Could do with a new kitchen, a deep clean and someRead more focus on speakers/TV and would be great. Outside space is not private as short fence between properties. Currently we feel its not value for money. Hide

The cottage is in a fabulous location, so peaceful with beautiful views to look out onto. Smart TV and fast WiFi. The deck is perfect for sitting out with a cuppa too. Unfortunately there were a few elements that let it down, but these have been fed back to the owners.
