For a bit of fun on the lake you can visit Waterhead and take out a row boat or a steam trip on Windermere. An easy walk takes you up onto the Fairfield Horseshoe mountain range, where you can spend days exploring the high peaks and be rewarded with fine views, perfect picnics and wonderful photo opportunities. Approached by a gravel drive, the house is surrounded by lawn, trees and shrubs with wonderful views of high fell. You enter into a terracotta tiled hall, with cane sofas. Off this lies a twin bedroom with en-suite shower, a separate WC, drying room and a snug, ideal as a childrens TV room. Wide stairs take you to the main floor. In the east wing you have: the dining area, with french doors opening onto the raised deck, ideal for lazy lunches and cosy dinners; the kitchen and scullery, fully fitted with all mod-cons, finally the sitting room, light and spacious, with french doors opening onto a patio at one end and the raised deck the other, giving a picture postcard view of Wansfell - hence the name. In the west wing lie the remaining three bedrooms, a master double with en-suite bath and shower, a further double with en-suite shower and a twin bedroom opposite the large family bathroom with separate shower. All in all Wansfell offers five star accommodation, in a perfect location where you can simply relax in and around the villa, enjoy local walks and step out to dine in one of Lakelands favourite villages - perfect!
